Sept 2015 Beer Festival

Our Festival; 25th to the 27th September

Slightly downsized this year (3 days not 4), but still with a great range of real ales, and music every night – the Hand & Heart are pleased to be able to present our Autumn beer festival!

‘Secret’ Thursday Evening Session

The festival doesn’t officially start until Friday lunchtime (12 noon), BUT it’s a little known ‘secret’ that Bram is tapping and checking all the beers Thursday evening, and he allows those in the know a cheeky pre-festival taster… from 7.30pm – 10.30pm Thurs 24th Sept.  Don’t tell everyone tho, we don’t want em all coming and drinking all the lovely beer!

Come and Show your Support – help keep the pub open!

The festival has traditionally raised a LOT of money for charity, including help for heroes – but this year WE THE DRINKERS should show our support to Bram, Sue, and OUR community pub, by turning up and enjoying the fine ales and music available during the festival (and afterwards too – remember pubs aren’t just for festivals!).

So if you fancy a social pint or three, rather than give a mega corp supermarket your hard earned £’s, or some soulless chain pub, why not jump in a taxi down to the Hand n Heart and join us celebrate all that’s beer, and help support a pub that really must not shut (so much history there, one of the last pubs in the area left trading!).

They won’t want donations – but every pint bought it will go towards keeping our historic pub open!  So it’s a win – win for us drinkers!

Some of the MANY beers will be served in rotation in the main historic bar, but make sure you head out into the beer garden, where the large and custom built beer cabin will hold the majority of the real ales, all served by gravity direct from the cask into your glass.
